Abstract
In this study, we develop a high-fidelity SOEC system model formulated in C# language, establish potential system layouts, and find an optimal operation condition. Multiple system pressure conditions are examined aiming at commercial-scale carbon dioxide reduction. Based on the CO2 reduction ratio and its efficiency as system evaluation criteria, pressure conditions are ranked in terms of carbon decomposition, parasitic power and the amount of heat required from external heat sources.
