Abstract

The paper presents theoretical and experimental research results on the external viscous damping effect on the frequency and amplitude of the backward slipping with whip due to dry friction between shaft and stator. In the developed mathematical model, the dominance of contact forces is assumed; therefore, the effects of imbalance and gravity are not taken into account. Keywords: rotor-stator system, contact dynamics, rolling with slipping. n.andre@mail.ru
