Abstract

Equatorial coordinates for the equinox 1950.0, periods, dispersion measures, and average 400-MHz flux densities are presented for 17 pulsars north of declination +20 deg discovered during a systematic search of the northern sky. The observational, data processing, and pulsar identification procedures are described, and examples of pulse profiles for two of the discovered pulsars are provided. It is noted that: (1) the periods range from 0.1955 to 3.0321 sec, which is typical of the overall distribution of known pulsar periods; (2) the dispersion measures are comparable to those of other pulsars in the same region of the sky; (3) three of the discovered pulsars lie close to the galactic plane in regions that were previously searched; and (4) PSR 0459+47 may be related to the supernova remnant HB 9.
