Abstract

We propose an accurate parameter identification method for Butterworth-Van Dyke (BVD) model via Fast Identification of BVD model based on Right-semicircle Fitting of Admittance (FIRFA), which is composed of the fast search algorithm for series resonant frequency (FSSRF) and the identification of BVD model based on Right-semicircle Fitting of Admittance (IRFA). In order to verify the algorithm, we establish an Ultrasonic Transducer Identification System (UTIS) to measure the BVD model of the 62 kHz and the 140 kHz ultrasonic transducer. The accuracy and the time consumption of the FSSRF algorithm are investigated. Besides, the nonlinear phenomenons of the BVD model parameters varying with the driving voltage are qualitatively analyzed. The results show that R1 and L1 will increase, C1 will decrease when the driving voltage increases.
