Abstract
Abstract Machining process is a time delay system. In general machining applications, there is usually one delay in operation. However, in parallel machining operations such as parallel turning, milling there can be multiple delays. This paper focuses on the dynamics of parallel turning and parallel milling processes. Many models have been developed for machining processes with single delay. There are only a few studies on multiple delay systems. This paper presents some interesting results on parallel turning and milling. Several example cases are presented and ongoing and future work in the area is detailed.
