Abstract

Abstract A grid generation method based on the strategy of the authors'grid front marching method and solving parabolic partial differential equations of Noack and Anderson is extended to generate grids within enclosed regions. By properly specifying the unknowns via a simple algebraic grid generation method, the grid generator collects necessary information from all the boundaries. Several examples show that the proposed method can generate smooth grids in regions with prescribed grid control over one, two, or all of the boundaries.
