Abstract

AbstractWe demonstrate low‐cost, efficient indium tin oxide (ITO)‐free organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) with improved stability based on conductive, transparent poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) electrodes. The device structures are carefully optimized by tuning the thickness of doped transport layers and electrodes based on optical simulations. The performance of PEDOT:PSS‐based OLEDs reaches that of ITO‐based reference devices. Furthermore, we present efficient ITO‐free white OLED based on internal light extraction system combined with the PEDOT:PSS electrodes.
