Abstract

A versatile paper-based immunosensor with dual fluorescence (FL) and chemiluminescence (CL) detection strategy is established for sensitive detection of prostate specific antigen (PSA). A multifunctional and stable NH2-MIL-53(Fe), which shows a strong FL and catalytic capacity for luminol-H2O2 CL system, is conjugated to detection antibodies by simple glutaraldehyde cross-linking method to fabricate the immunosensor. PSA is detected by this dual detection strategy with the detection limits of 0.3 ng/mL for CL and 0.2 ng/mL for FL. The dual-mode detection is achieved by FL and CL methods at one detection area for the first time with high sensitivity and accuracy. This simple, and low-cost detection strategy can expand the development and application of MOFs in paper-based immunoassay.
