Abstract

The methodological discussion carried out by Zurli in his book Il limen … provides the opportunity to reconsider two of his case studies (notably Stat. Silv. V 3, 127 and Anth. Lat. 465 Riese), so as to propose different outcomes. Moreover, two other cases from Ausonius’ epigrams (namely 2, 3 and 6, 12 Green) are taken into account, confirming the effectiveness of the falsification principle in the textual criticism, as stated by Zurli.
