Abstract
Sixty calcareous nannofossil species were identified in twenty-three of several hundred samples analyzed from the Crescent, Boundary, Lyre, and Twin River Formations. These form a sparsely fossiliferous turbidite sequence of Paleogene age from the Northern Olympic Peninsula. The upper middle and lower upper Eocene, and the lower to middle Oligocene are well represented. Dearth of discoasters and large populations of the Reticulofenestra complex suggests cold-water deposition. Limited nannofossil data agree well with previous benthic foraminiferal and radiometric correlation.
