Abstract
A schematic model is first used to show the general properties of the solutions of the pairing vibration equations for normal systems and to exhibit the effects of pairing vibrations on the cross sections of two nucleon transfer reactions. Then the PVA equations are solved using the Tabakin interaction and the results are presented for 18F and 18O.
