Abstract
To the Editor: Six older adult patients were encountered in which painful digital pitting of the skin of the fingers remained for a prolonged period of time after pressure was applied. The patients were seen at the Dermatology Clinic, Barzilai University Medical Center, Ashkelon, Israel, between 2017 and 2018. Tissue samples from skin biopsies of the lesions were obtained in all patients. Also similarly analyzed were 12 control cases of tissue from age-matched skin biopsies of the fingers obtained for other causes.
