Abstract
In 2008 avulval clinic was established at the University Clinic of Schleswig Holstein, Campus Luebeck, Department of Dermatology. Atotal of 1227patients were referred to the clinic between 2008 and October 2020, including 91children (age range 1-13years) and 17adolescents (age range 14-17years). The most common paediatric vulval conditions encountered were lichen sclerosus (33%), vulvitis (23%) and vulval psoriasis (7%). Quality of life was measured in 81children using the paediatric version of the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI). Of a maximum 30points, the mean score was 7.2, confirming the association between vulval diseases and impaired quality of life in children and adolescents.
