Abstract
Abstract: To evaluate pipe stress in air conditioning units caused by fluid excitation force, we conducted an experiment in which we released compressed air from the electromagnetic valve and directly measured the excitation force generated using a load cell. We clarified the magnitude, application point and application direction of the fluid-step excitation force. We proposed a formula for computing the magnitude of the step force and showed how this formula could be used to determine the excitation force. Furthermore, we conducted an experiment using a refrigerant circulating equipment. We indirectly measured the excitation force using a differential-pressure gauge and a flow meter and demonstrated that the proposed formula was also valid for actual refrigerant.
