Abstract
High attenuation characteristics are required at transmitter frequency bands, i.e. lower-side frequency ranges, for receiver SAW, FBAR, and SMR filters especially used in CDMA systems, where transmission and reception are performed simultaneously. We showed possibility of new chip-level improvement for attenuation characteristics at these frequency bands without external inductors and capacitors. Experimental results for SAW filters and simulation results for SMR filters are presented. Non-linear characteristics of SAW filters, the most important issue for SAW duplexers, are also discussed
