Abstract

Despite high prevalence of depression and anxiety, understanding of the neurocircuit dysregulations driving their symptoms and treatment response remain unclear. Elevated subcallosal cingulate cortex activity (scACC) has been implicated in these disorders, however causal studies manipulating this region in primates remain limited, with no previous work targeting its output pathways.
