Abstract

The higher incidence of targetable mutations in Asian patients with lung cancer clearly suggests potentially different risk factors and underlying biology. Most of the studies regarding lung cancer in Asian patients were conducted in Asia, but limited data is known about Asian or Asian American patients in the U.S. While current lung cancer screening guidelines only affect smoker populations, expanding screening to other high risk populations is of interest. The purpose of this study is to assess various characteristics of Asian or Asian American lung cancer patients at a public hospital in New York.
