Abstract

An entirely wirelessly and remotely controlled experiment and its result on visually preferred color temperature on large IoT display screen under various ambient lights are presented. The remote solutions were implemented for a zero‐contact experimental environment to avoid spreading COVID‐19 between experimenter and subjects. Applications based on Android and Tizen operating system for controlling ambient lights, adjusting TV picture options and collecting dataset in server are implemented based on IoT technologies. Under the proposed experimental environment, a visual recognition experiment to find generally preferred color temperature of a given image set was conducted and the results are presented.
