Abstract

Immersiveness is a crucial element in gaming, and the quality of visual display is essential to achieving it. Reflections on gaming displays can hinder immersion under various lighting conditions. Four gaming displays were compared though reflection analysis and visual assessment. In this paper, we found that Lambertian reflectance was a crucial factor for image quality attributes such as Blackness, Contrast, and Sharpness. By applying AGAR surface treatment to WRGB OLEDs, the distinctness of reflected images was effectively reduced while maintaining blackness, making it a more suitable for playing games in various ambient environments.
