Abstract

With improvements in human embryo culture media increasing pregnancy rates and fewer numbers of embryos being transferred, more patients require cryostorage of excess embryos. This combined with improvements in cryopreservation techniques translates into more embryos being frozen, fewer embryos being thawed to obtain a subsequent pregnancy and potentially longer cryostorage time intervals. The objective of this study was to compile a profile of embryo cryostorage in our facility.
