Abstract
The oxygen potentials of the oxygen-deficient fluorite-type oxide (Am0.5Np0.5)O2−x were measured by the electrochemical method using a zirconia solid electrolyte. Coulomb titration has been performed for the sample at 1333 K over 0.021≤x≤0.25. The oxygen potentials were −93.63 and −440.18 kJ/mol for x=0.021 and 0.25 at 1333 K, respectively. The temperature dependence of the oxygen potentials was also measured between 1000 and 1333 K over the x range of 0.021≤x≤0.243. The temperature dependence was almost linear over the x and temperature ranges concerned.
