Abstract

Thermally stimulated current (TSC) studies on CdS thin films, grown by the chemical bath deposition (CBD) technique as a function of several thermal cycles in vacuum are reported for the first time. The result can be explained as an oxygen desorption process, and the TSC spectrum due to this process is a sensitive technique for the characterization of trapping kinetics on the surface of the as-deposited films. Trap parameters, such as activation energy and capture cross section have been determined.
