Abstract

Oxybutynin is an anticholinergic medication indicated for treatment of overactive bladder. As might be predicted, it also has beneficial effects on overactive sweating. A prospective, randomized 6-week trial compared low doses of oxybutynin to placebo for treatment of hyperhidrosis. The investigators enrolled 62 consecutive patients with localized or generalized hyperhidrosis.
