Abstract
AbstractAn operationally simple oxidative methyl esterification of primary alcohols in good yields using an iodine‐mediated poly[4‐(diacetoxyiodo)styrene] in methanol at room temperature is described. The polymeric reagent can be regenerated and reused as an environmentally benign reagent.
