Abstract
Sorption system based on a hydride material produced by impregnation of a fibrous polyacrylonitrile anion-exchanger with potassium permanganate was studied. Tests on purification of potable water to remove tri- and pentavalent arsenic compounds were performed and demonstrated a degree of purification to below the maximum permissible concentrations established by regulations of the World Health Organization.
