Abstract
Bhuyan and Chatterji (1981) have proposed a digital filter structure having very-low sensitivity for poles near z = 1. In this paper is shown that there is a range of values for the coefficient multipliers for which the structure is overflow stable. In addition, roundoff noise expressions are derived and it is shown that the structure also attains the minimum roundoff noise for values of the coefficients within this range..
