Abstract

Writing strategies encourage beginning writers to collect, explore, and focus ideas. Employing the word processor eliminates the stress of working and reworking a text by hand and encourages an immersion in expression of meaning. A rationale and series of computerized and noncomputerized prewriting strategies are presented in helping learning disabled writers begin the writing process.
