Abstract

Numerical simulation and modeling of Germanium doped stacked CZTS has been accomplished by using wx-AMPS in this current work. This study envisages the overall copper zinc tin sulfide (CZTS) solar cell performance by Germanium incorporation. Now a days Germanium is treated as a promising candidate to be added in CZTS, which partially replaces the tin in the compound. In this work a stack structure containing copper zinc tin germanium sulfide (CZTGS) top layer and copper zinc tin sulfide (CZTS) bottom layer was used for simulation. Layer optimization was done by varying the input parameters (Material, Electrical and Optical) and optimizing the output parameters. The highest efficiency of germanium doped bilayer CZTS solar cell was recorded as 17.31%.
