Abstract
연구목적: 본 연구에서는 실외 놀이터의 설치 장소 유형에 따른 놀이환경 현황을 파악하고, 실외 놀이터의 질적 수준을 알아보고자 하였다. 방법: 서울시 25개구에 소재한 실외 놀이터 306개(도시공원 80곳, 영유아 보육⋅교육기관 70개, 초등학교 73개, 주택단지 83개)를 대상으로 면적 및 지면 포장재, 놀이시설물의 놀이환경을 분석하고, 실외 놀이터 평가척도에 따라 실외 놀이터의 질적 수준을 평가하였으며, 수집된 자료는 연구문제에 따라 기술통계, 교차분석, 일원변량분석, Pearson 상관분석, 독립표본 t검증 등을 실시하여 분석하였다. 결과: 실외 놀이터의 놀이환경(면적 및 지면 포장재, 놀이시설물)은 설치 장소 유형별로서로 다른 양상이 나타났으며, 실외 놀이터의 질적 수준은 도시공원이 가장 높고, 영유아 보육⋅교육기관이 가장 낮았다. 놀이환경 요인으로서 면적 및 지표면, 놀이 시설물은 실외 놀이터의 질적 수준과 관련이 있었다. 결론: 본 연구는 각 설치 장소 유형에 따른 실외 놀이터의 질적 개선을 위한 정책적 전략을 수립하는 데 기초 자료를 제공했다는 데 의의가 있다.Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate play environment and examine quality level of outdoor playgrounds according to installed location. Methods: There were collected a total of 306 outdoor playgrounds located in Seoul, comprised of 80 public parks, 70 child centers, 73 elementary schools and 83 apartment complexes. The present conditions of play environments, such as space area, surface pavement materials and facilities for play(fixed play equipment, sandpit, artificial hill) were observed and the quality level of outdoor playgrounds was assessed. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlations and independent t-test. Results: First, the play environment of outdoor playgrounds had different aspects according to the type of installed location. Second, The results showed that the quality score of public park outdoor playgrounds was the best and the score of child center outdoor playgrounds was the worst. Third, there was a correlation between the play environments, such as space area, surface pavement materials, facilities for play, and the quality score of outdoor playgrounds. Conclusions: This study can be used as a basic data for establishing a policy strategy to improve the quality level of outdoor playgrounds according to each type of installed location.
