Abstract

Gingival enlargementis a condition that occurs commonlyduring orthodontic treatment. Orthodontic appliances are retentive factors for plaque accumulation which leads to gingival inflammation. A case of gingival hyperplasia undergoing orthodontic treatment was reported & treated by gingivectomy. A split mouth study was done to compare the outcomes of different techniques of gingivectomy like LASER, electrocautery and conventional methods.
