Abstract

Stroke and its consequences use up a major proportion of the NHS resources (Wolfe et al, 1996). To monitor where these resources are required we need to look at the outcome of the rehabilitation of stroke patients. The Cornwall Assessment Protocol provides an excellent way of communicating the needs of the patient in terms of help and equipment necessary to complete everyday tasks.
