Abstract
Background: Recent clinical trials have established the role of intra-arterial thrombectomy (IAT) in patients suffering from acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) with large vessel occlusion (LVO). However, major studies mainly recruited subjects with proximal LVO, and data has been lacking on distal LVO cases.
