Abstract

The literature abounds with articles which review large series of cases of acoustic neuroma and attempt through retrospective analysis, to find a reliable protocol of investigation to screen for this. Such studies, from recognised centres of neuro-otology, seek a logical approach to diagnosis which is cost effective, reliable ad avoids invasive investigations, such as contrast meatography, unless there are strong indications.
