Abstract

Odontogenic fibroma is a benign odontogenic tumor that may arise centrally in the jawbones or peripherally on the gingiva. Odontogenic fibroma has three rare variants, that is, odontogenic fibroma with giant cell lesion, odontogenic fibroma with ossifications and odontogenic fibroma with amyloid-like protein deposition. It occurs most often in females, usually located in the anterior aspect of the maxilla, presenting as a well-circumscribed radiolucency that may induce root resorption. Here, we present a case of ossifying variant of peripheral odontogenic fibroma with its clinical presentation, radiological and histological features along with the satisfactory management and literature review.
