Abstract
In the article analyzed the key activities implemented by the Department of Culture of the Executive Committee of the Novorossiysk City Council of People's Deputies in the second half of the 20th century. In the course of the study, the state of library services for the population of Novorossiysk, the work of folk theaters and amateur musical groups, and the holding of cultural events were considered, the results of the work of cultural institutions in the city of Novorossiysk from 1950 to 1990 were analyzed.
