Abstract

Currently the phobia in children appears as a major reason for parents search for psychological care for their children. In this sense, this study aims to understand the factors related to the phobia in children and the contributions of playing for their treatment. During the emotional development of children, the same experience many fears, the most common are those of the pre-Oedipal which tend to disappear over time. In addition, external factors such as growing violence and insecurity of post-modern life with demonstrations of the media on these issues, generate feelings of fear, distress and discomfort. A phobia is an uncontrollable fear that has as main elements of fear and anxiety. It was found that playing in working with children with phobias is very effective because through this, they expose and work your fears and anxieties, slowing them.
