Abstract
Wavelets are modern mathematical tools for hierarchically decomposing functions. They describe a function in terms of coarse overall shape and details of the function. Orthogonal wavelets form a basis of L 2(R). Using the multiresolution analysis and the concepts of signal processing, a method is described here for construction of orthogonal wavelets.
