Abstract

The design of an orthogonal circular polarization axicon beam splitter (OCPABS) that generates orthogonal circular polarization states (OCPS) is presented. The OCPABS consists of an absorbing V-shaped substrate coated with a transparent single-layer thin film. The power reflectances range between 25.19 and 56.24% in the infrared (IR), visible, and ultraviolet (UV) light regions. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 28: 260–265, 2001.
