Abstract

In this research, it is aimed to evaluate the research findings of the effects of the cultural leadership roles of secondary school administrators on resistance to change. In this context, the research findings have been reached by trying to determine the opinions of administrators and teachers working in secondary education institutions about the effects of the cultural leadership roles of secondary school administrators on resistance to change by conducting data analysis. The universe of the research consists of administrators and teachers who worked in secondary education institutions (general high school, anatolian vocational and vocational high school, industrial vocational high school, private high school) in Kadikoy, Üsküdar, Umraniye, Maltepe and Kartal districts on the Anatolian side of Istanbul in the 2007-2008 academic year. The sample consists of a total of 321 participants, 58 of whom are administrators and 263 of whom are teachers working in 17 secondary schools selected from the universe through random (random). According to the research findings, it was observed that ½ of the teachers participating in the study were graduates of the faculty of education, experienced teachers at a similar rate, again, they worked in vocational high schools at a similar rate, the number of teachers who completed a master's degree was quite low, and teacher subjects answered the survey at a rate of ¾. The findings of the research in question have been evaluated by examining these data, information and findings within the framework of this study.
