Abstract

This paper aims to present a niche in issuing certificates of special education for children with central auditory processing disorders. Central auditory processing disorders (CAPD) – one type of neurodi- versity – are more commonly diagnosed among school-aged children, but they are also present in adults. Auditory processing disorders cause many learning difficulties in children, including those in understanding questions and instructions, reading and writing, remembering new information, foreign language learning difficulties, and more. Recommendations and guidelines for the whole diagnostic process, therapy, and reha- bilitation, as well as supporting children with central auditory processing disorders need to be introduced as up to now children with CAPD are not guaranteed any help by the system.
