Abstract

Abstract Eighteen insecticides were applied to 12 species and varieties of greenhouse plants to check on possible phytotoxicity effects. Individual potted plots comprised a plot in a randomized block design that was replicated three times. Foliar applications, except for Temik, were made on all plants with a one gallon B&G stainless steel compressed air sprayer operating at 30 psi. Premeasured amounts of Temik granules were scattered on the surface of the soil and watered in. The plants used were all in the greenhouse complex of the Indiana State Veterans Home, West Lafayette, Indiana. Treated plants were examined one, two and five days after treatment.
