Abstract

The structural conversion on strain of PE preceding neck formation have been studied by IR spectroscopy. The relationship between the orientation of the macromolecules, change in the degree of crystallinity, mechanodegradation and the stress level on stretching the polymer has been demonstrated. Strain of the spherulite structure is regarded as a component of the contributions of differently oriented crystallites of lamellar beams.
