Abstract

The orientation and temperature dependence of the work-hardening rate (WHR) has been investigated in tension in the temperature range from room temperature to 500 K in Cd single crystals. The WHR was found to decrease rapidly with increasing temperature. For (2113) orientated crystals, the WHR increases firstly with increasing temperature until it passes a maximum at about 350 K.
