Abstract

The purpose of the study is to theoretically and empirically substantiate, develop and experimentally prove the effectiveness of the model of organization of physical culture and health-improving activity of students as a complex condition for the development of their personal competitiveness. The article reveals the key concepts of the study, describes the foundations of organizing the activities of a student sports club, as the organizational core of an innovative model, provides data on the success of its experimental testing in the educational process of a university. Scientific novelty lies in substantiating the consistency of the idea of developing students' competitiveness by means of physical education, namely, in the ability to directly influence the competitive qualities of a person by means of physical education, as well as to indirectly ensure their improvement through improving health indicators.
