Abstract

Cette communication etudie la relation entre l'engagement vis-a-vis de l'organisation et les caracteristiques individuelles du personnel de la bibliotheque dans cinq bibliotheques universitaires au Ghana. Les employe(e)s marie(e)s sont plus engage(es) que leurs homologues non maries. L'engagement vis-a-vis de l'organisation est aussi positivement lie a l'âge et au genre. Les tâches paraissent aussi affecter negativement l'engagement. Parmi les mesures suggerees pour augmenter le degre d'engagement on peut retenir : l'emploi des innovations et de la creativite, et un engagement reciproque a long terme vis-a-vis des affaires des employe(e)s et leur implication (participation) a la formulation des politiques de l'organisation.
