Abstract

In this paper, a new order reduction technique is proposed for reducing order of the higher-order interval systems. The reduced order model is obtained by using Kharitonov's theorem and stability equation method. It is computationally simple and it guarantees the stability of reduced models if the original interval system is stable. The performance of this method validated in terms of integral square error (ISE). Numerical examples are given to show the proposed technique is quite comparable with other existing methods.
