Abstract
On the basis of unrestricted Hartree–Fock calculations on multi-orbital d–p Hamiltonians for a CuO layer and an FeAs layer, we give a qualitative discussion on the interplay between band Jahn–Teller effect and spin (and/or charge) density wave in the CuO and FeAs layers. In addition, we argue the relationship between the spin density wave, the pseudogap, and the superconductivity.
