Abstract
In this paper, the fiber coupling efficiency of the Gaussian vortex beam with a focusing lens system in atmospheric turbulence is investigated. The coupling efficiencies of the Gaussian vortex beam passing through the focusing lens system into the single-mode fiber and the parabolic fiber in the turbulence atmosphere are investigated. The simulation results show that using the focusing lens system can enhance the coupling efficiency when transmitting long distances. It is an effective and straightforward method to improve the coupling efficiency under different turbulent atmospheric intensities or specific propagation distances by controlling the focal length of the lens. The research results in this paper have practical application in free-space optical communication.
