Optimization Of The Re-Scheduling Of The Project By The Method Of Time-Cost Trade-Off In Project X

Abstract

The X Hospital project is necessary for the optimization of the scheduling. It is so the project can run faster as well as effective and efficient. The method of acceleration in this study is the TCTO (Time-Cost Trade-off). This project already has two work shifts plus overtime. Then the optimization is performed, making it a three-shift without overtime and change the start to a specific job. The optimisation results turn out to not significantly impact in terms of the duration, but enough to give the impact in terms of cost. This is because the optimization in terms of duration only has a difference in a little bit of time work, which helped with additional options overlapping with the change of the start time of work of a particular job. Then in terms of cost is considered quite impactful. Because, in terms of cost, it is not too burdened by payment of overtime wages per hour, which is more expensive than the hourly wage is normal. The total completion time due to the acceleration is 122 days, of the total duration of the completion of the initial was 140 days. The total cost due to the acceleration obtained Rp17.881.156.961.- from the initial cost of Rp18.475.703.342.-. Then the difference in cost is obtained worth (-) Rp 594.546.381.- which means that the acceleration does not add to the cost, but it gives a cost reduction.
