Abstract
Problem setting. The paper belongs to precipitation enhancement methods. The new option is proposed inside natural clouds by using low-frequency acoustics, 40–300 Hz, emitted from air sirens near ground. The purpose. The purpose of the article is to determine the necessary acoustic parameters, frequency and power, for effective collision of water droplet with their merge in natural clouds. Results. In this study convenient analytical formulas are derived for utilization during field experiments, and example calculations are provided for different environment. Increasing for acoustic intensity directly in atmosphere by diffraction is proposed. Practical significance. The paper indicates the optimal options and regimes for acoustics in natural clouds and ways to achieve this effect.
